Tender description

NHS North East Essex seeks to commission a suitable provider to deliver high quality dental services in the CO15 or CO16 area of Clacton-on-Sea, to approximately 5.000 new patients delivering 15,000 Units of Dental Activity per annum under the terms of a PDS Agreement for an initial term of 5 years with an option to extend to be determined. The PCT has identified a lack of dental provision in the area and aims to improve access to high quality, prevention orientated NHS dental services therefore reducing inequalities in oral health. The successful provider will be fully committed to providing access to NHS dentistry for all members of the community and delivering best practice models of care. The service will be delivered through a NHS Personal Dental Services (PDS) contract providing mandatory services. The PCT is seeking expressions of interest from providers who can meet the minimum quality criteria set for the contract.
