DART Fleet Seat Recovering

Tender description

The Chief Mechanical Engineering Department (CME) of Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) has a two (2) year requirement for a suitably experienced and qualified company to supply and fit new seat coverings on its Class 8100 and Class 8500 DART fleets. The scope of the services required under the contract is for the collection of the seat trim from IE, recovering with new Moquette and return to IE in multiples of sixty (60) cushions and seatbacks for the 8100 Class and in multiples of forty (40) cushions and seatbacks for the 8500 Class. The IE standard green DART Moquette will be free-issued to the successful tenderer by IE. The term of the Contract shall be two (2) years from award of any contract. It is estimated the majority of the work required will take place in 2016 depending on fleet availability. A programme of work will be agreed between IE and the successful tenderer.
