Tender description

The Forest Service invites tenders for harvesting processing and extraction to roadside of four separate sale lots of timber in West Fermanagh, two are clearfell operations and the other two involve the thinning of Sitka spruce. Clearfelling comprises of two lots, one in Belmore and the other in Carrigan forest. The Belmore lot is approximately 4,800 tonnes of Sitka spruce. The Carrigan lot consists of approximately 5,300 tonnes of Sitka spruce and 300 tonnes Lodgepole pine. Thinning comprises of two sale lots, a first line and selective thinning of approximately 288 tonnes of Sitka spruce in Ely Lodge forest and the second is a combination of delayed final thinning of Sitka spruce in Castlecaldwell forest (254 tonnes) along with the adjacent clearfell of windblown trees (209 tonnes).
