Community Ultrasound Services

Tender description

Providers will be asked to develop a model or models to serve the South West Essex (Basildon & Brentwood CCG and Thurrock CCG) population and provide ultrasound services with care outside of hospital. The care pathway being commissioned is the pre-appointment communication with Patients and the diagnostic investigation and reporting to the referrer, which covers not only the description of the investigation and the findings, but also where appropriate covers any recommendations for further imaging or investigation and advice on management. Structured reporting will be required to support local referrers in their options for further clinical management. The service will be fully quality assured, validated and supported by the local Commissioners.
