Collaboration for the Sale and Distribution of Property Search Address Data

The Coal Authority is proposing a collaboration for the sale and distribution of its “Property Search Address Data”. As the authoritative source of coal mining information the Coal Authority, as part of its statutory duties, produces over 500,000 mining searches each year, primarily to homebuyers, throughout Scotland, England and Wales. The Authority is looking for a partner to help commercialise, define markets, to act as a distributor and maximise the revenue potential of its property search address data. The data is soley GB based and represents, for the most part, an up to date listing of residential property addresses where a search has been requested. The Authority aim is to generate an income consistent with HM Treasury's "Wider Markets" Policy Note, which encourages non-departmental public bodies to generate alternative revenue streams from the introduction of non-statutory value-added products and services, to offset reduced grant-in-aid funding. This will be conducted via the Coal Authority eTendering Portal. Potential Bidders are asked to follow the information in the "Additional Notes" Section to register and officially "express interest" in participating in the process. The Coal Authority will be releasing the bid information estimated to be at the Beginning of June 2006. Bidders who have officially expressed interest will be automatically notified of when this information has been made available.
