Tender description

The BBC is tendering for the provision of booking, management and fulfilment of coach & Multi Passenger Vehicles (MPV). Bookings currently total circa 2,000 p.a., 87% of which are booked online on an internal front end, which along with the internal call centre system is to be switched off. The support provision to his service is 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The proposed system must provide online booking functionality linked to the BBC intranet providing seamless user experience and also have the capacity to import and validate BBC charge codes, BBC staff numbers and booker details. The online service must be supported by a 24/7 call centre booking and management service. As well as the booking process the BBC is also tendering for the provision of the coaches, MPV's & drivers. A high level of vehicle availability is required across many geographical locations within the UK. It is envisaged that the service will also be available to independent production companies commissioned by the BBC to make radio and TV programmes and also strategic third party suppliers to the BBC.
