Certification Services 2016

Tender description

This tender seeks the services of an ISO/IEC 17065 accredited certification body, to maintain the accreditation of the BIM aquaculture and Wild Seafood standards, to provide certification services and progress the development of certification services to meet market needs. The contracted term will be for an initial period of one year. BIM reserve the right to renew the contract for a further one year at the end of the term. This decision will be made at the sole discretion of BIM. The contract will take effect as close to 01 February 2016, as possible. The successful tenderer will also be responsible, in association with Technical Advisory Committees (Aquaculture) and Oversight Committees (Wild Seafood) for the development of the standards in accordance with industry best practice and European and National Legislation. The certification body engaged to provide these services, must be recognised and accredited by INAB or by an equivalent European National accreditation body, which is a signatory to the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) Multilateral Agreement. At the time of submission, the tenderer must have all BIM’s accredited Wild Seafood and aquaculture standards within the official scope of their certification activity, as recognised by their National accreditation body.
