Tender description
Northern Ireland Water (NIW) has been using a Geographic Information System to record water and wastewater infrastructure data since 1999. Until recently a bespoke MapInfo rules-based software solution has been used to edit the network data in MapInfo native format. Access to the network data by the organisation as a whole is provided through a MapXtreme based solution over the corporate intranet. The current system provides read-only access to the network record. NIW is seeking to replace this web-viewing component of the system and provide editing tools for all end users
