The Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) is an executive agency of the Department of the Environment. The Built Heritage Directorate’s Historic Monuments Unit (HMU) is charged with recording, protecting and promoting sites and monuments throughout Northern Ireland. Currently in Northern Ireland about 16,000 monuments are recorded in the Monuments and Buildings Record. The purpose of the IT Facilitator service will be to liaise between Built Heritage staff and IT staff to ensure the establishment, provision and maintenance of database and web-based services which will allow information from the Monuments and Buildings Record to be stored and accessed efficiently by staff, and to make these resources available to the pubic, where appropriate, through web-based applications. Under no circumstances will late tenders be considered, nor is CPD obliged to accept the lowest or any bid
