Tender description

The BBC is seeking a supplier to provide a daily broadcasting news alerts service to senior BBC Executives, the BBC Trust and other key users. The intention is to award a contract to a supplier who can provide access to full text news stories and articles about the BBC and other broadcast media from all UK National newspapers, UK regional newspapers and a range of other publications. The service must be available electronically and through a variety of distribution methods including email, PDA, mobile devices and hard copy. Content should be available to users in a variety of formats and be fully searchable. The ability to view articles exactly as they appear on the printed page is considered a must have requirement. The service will be provided for up to 300 users and must meet BBC desktop standards. It must also be compliant with BBC accessibility and diversity guidelines, which are available in II.2.1. These dates are indicative, they may be amended throughout the process to allow for sufficient time to undertake each phase of the exercise. Any timings set under EU guidelines will be adhered to.
