BBC Proms Advertising

Tender description

The BBC has a requirement for an advertising agency to sell advertising space within BBC Proms publications. These publications are the BBC Proms Guide, BBC Proms programmes and the BBC Proms in the Park souvenir programme. The Proms Guide is a fully-illustrated high quality book which includes full listings of the Proms season. The print run for the Guide is approximately 70,000 copies. The advertising space is normally 48pp including inside back and outside back covers, plus four inserts. An individual programme is produced for each Prom concert in the season (around 76 concerts). The print run for each Programme is between 800 and 10,000 copies, and the total print run over the season is around 150,000 programmes. The advertising space available to the agent is normally the inside front and inside back covers, and 47 colour pages common to each programme. A provision is also made for up to 4 individual mono pages per programme. A souvenir concert programme is produced for BBC Proms in the Park in Hyde Park. Currently, selling space is 4 colour pages. As part of the requirement the agent will be responsible for collecting artwork to agreed specifications to deliver to BBC to a pre-arranged timetable.
