AQP for Diagnostic Services - Direct Access Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Services for Six NHS Nottinghamshire CCGs. Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (GEM CSU) on behalf of Six NHS Nottinghamshire CCGs led by NHS Mansfield and Ashfield CCG are seeking suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver Diagnostic Services – Direct Access Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service - in line with national guidance and local requirements. Providers are required to deliver high quality, efficient services which are responsive to the needs of the local community. Six NHS Nottinghamshire CCGs are: 1. NHS Mansfield & Ashfield Clinical Commissioning Group 2. NHS Newark & Sherwood Clinical Commissioning Group 3. NHS Nottingham City Clinical Commissioning Group 4. NHS Nottingham North & East Clinical Commissioning Group 5. NHS Nottingham West Clinical Commissioning Group 6. NHS Rushcliffe Clinical Commissioning Group The overarching aims of the service are: • To ensure patients receive the right test at the right time and in the most clinically appropriate local setting; • To ensure diagnostic testing is integrated across pathways of care, that the report and/or images follows the patient and that there is no unnecessary duplication of investigation; • To enable patients and referring clinicians to access a choice of provision according to Patient choice, clinical need and relevant care pathway; and • To ensure diagnostic tests are appropriate, necessary, clinically correct, of high quality, with timely access and reporting. • To develop local service provision as part of a diagnostic commissioning plan which aims to improve access and choice for patients.
