Tender description

A contract for the delivery of a costing assurance programme to evaluate the costing practices of certain NHS providers. Monitor has procured a contract for the delivery of a costing assurance programme. The programme is being undertaken pursuant to Monitor's functions in relation to NHS pricing and its objectives are to: — Improve the accuracy and consistency of cost submissions used inform the National Tariff in order to set national, and agree local, prices for NHS services. Further information on the National Tariff is available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-tariff-payment-system-2014-to-2015 — Provide assurance that Mental Health and Acute Providers' Cost Submissions have been prepared in accordance with Monitor's Approved Costing Guidance. — Assess the overall accuracy of cost submissions by providers of NHS services.
