Tender description

The proposed carriageway works consist of the removal, by the process of cold milling, of the existing bituminous carriageway, with an average thickness of approximately 150mm; cracking and seating the underlying CBM base and inlaying a 150mm thick bituminous carriageway. Carriageway works are followed by the application of new road markings and replacing studs with low profiled armoured studs. Filter drains take all the water from the highway. The existing filter drainage media is to be removed, damaged pipe work repaired; filter media relayed and topped up with new aggregate.
