A Strategic Review Of Post 16 Provision

In providing strategic leadership for 16 - 18 provision within the context of the wider 14- 19 Learning Pathways, the City & County of Swansea has a role to ensure provision can be fully implemented. To secure agreement about the nature of the provision to be provided, a review of all Post 16 provision in the West of Swansea, which acknowledges the entitlement of all learners whilst ensuring progression routes for learners, must be established. The review will identify the case for change and quantify the potential options. If the Transformation agenda is to meet current and future demands for relevant and high quality education and training, the appropriate facilities and services must be made available to learners within each of the geographic areas of the Authority. The purpose of the review within the West of Swansea will be to identify potential options for the future with a case for change showing a preferred option for moving forward. This case for change will be outlined within a Strategic Outline Case which supports the strategic aims of the QEd 202 Programme.
