Tender description

The University of Wolverhampton is seeking to procure a Portable Laser Scanning/Measurement Arm that has both touch trigger probing and laser scanning capabilities for use in its workshop at the Telford Innovation Campus. The Arm will be used to support consultancy, research/development work and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Arm size and reach is to be a minimum of 1.8m (6ft), with a minimum of 7 axis of movement, Point repeatability (Probing) 0.25mm or better and Volumetric accuracy (Probing) 0.35mm or better. The Equipment must facilitate a maximum laser scanning width of 120mm or above. In addition to compliance with the Specification it is critical that the proposals offer additional added value in terms of forming a collaborative working partnership between the supplier and the University of Wolverhampton.
