120 person & 20 person Cellular Accommodation Blocks

Tender description

This contract is for the design and construction of a 120 person 2 - storey cellular accommodation block and an adjacent 20 person single - storey cellular accommodation block – both with associated ancillary amenity accommodation - on The Playing Fields HMP Maghaberry Prison, Northern Ireland. The works under this contract includes everything necessary for the design and construction of the buildings for occupation. The accommodation shall include: reinforced concrete superstructure with brickwork external skin: aluminium standing seam roof construction; fixtures and fittings including specialist cell doors; high security window grilles; gates and screens; specialist cell furniture and fittings; catering equipment; integrated mechanical ventilation; electrical and other specialist services and systems; drainage and site works including exercise areas and astro turf sports pitch enclosed by high security fencing; roadways, footpaths and covered enclosed walkways; vehicle and pedestrian gates; external site services with the possibility of the inclusion of a biomass boiler house and associated fuel store. Internal walls and ceilings shall be reinforced concrete to a high standard of finish. The approximate floor areas of the 120 person & 20 person cellular accommodation blocks will be in the order of 4090m2 and 1500m2 respectively (excluding roof void plant rooms).
