Tender description
The Training and Simulation System Programme (TSSP) team, part of the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) within the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) seeks the replacement of an ad-hoc arrangement as a Core capability, to provide a flexible and enduring Dismount capability at the Combined Arms Tactical Trainer (CATT) Warminster Site. Dismount Stations into Core (DS into Core) is to provide the simulated Dismount capability in CATT virtual collective training for up to a Mechanised Battle Group worth of assets that enables them to carry out tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and command and control (C2), patrolling and mission planning training in a realistic virtual environment. An outline of the proposed requirement will be to procure the specified hardware (Desks, Tables, Chairs, Cabling), generate drawings and parts list using supplied format, present capability at a critical design review, ensure the required Quality and Engineering standards are adhered to and the necessary certificates of conformance are provided, install at the Warminster Site, undertake integration and acceptance testing for initial production and address any hardware related issues, undertake hardware checkout (including check-list) for remaining stations and handover to current CATT Prime Contractor for onward support. There also maybe the requirement that this contract will cover the IT hardware. A close working relationship will be required with the current CATT Prime Contractor and inclusion on the CATT Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) will be a essential to enable sharing of relevant technical information. The current assumption is that post the DPQQ process all successful tenderers will be added to the CATT TAA with only the preferred candidate remaining on the TAA at the conclusion of the ITT process (all others will be removed). Due to space constraints at site flexibility for the hardware delivery will be required, including the ability to store away between Exercises. The DS into Core capability will provide 45 Stations representing 3 x Mechanised Company Dismounts, 3 x Support Company Assets and 3 x Close Support Arty Tac Grp. This requirement will also cover supply but the majority of the contract will be service provision.
