Therapy Support to the Assessment Beds Service Framework

Nottinghamshire County Council wishes to set up a framework for the provision of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Support to the Assessment Bed Service. The hospital discharge and assessment beds service is a short term service to facilitate discharges of patients from hospitals within the County who are at risk of needing long term residential care. The purpose of this therapy service is to provide an environment outside of hospital where people can receive a more thorough assessment by a multi-disciplinary team and a short period of reablement before any decision about long term residential care is made. This service can also be used to prevent people being admitted into hospital unnecessarily. Nottinghamshire County Council invites providers to now apply to join this framework.
