Aims and objectives of the project The purpose of this research is to address the following key questions • How does public engagement relate to the student experience in higher education institutions/ departments in England? How do institutions, students and partners know the activities are effective? • What added value does public engagement within student experience activities bring to the student offer? • What added value does public engagement within student experience activities bring to the experiences of students at the identified institutions? Background This document invites tenders to undertake a study considering the relationship that public engagement theory, methods and application may have with the student higher education experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The primary output will be a written report consisting of 10 in depth case studies alongside a short literature review and a summary of lessons learned.
