Tender description

Flintshire County Council is modernising its LD Day and Work Services. Following a service review the Council now seeks an innovative and progressive partner to deliver services under a commissioned contract. The Council provides day and work opportunities for more than 150 adults. The service delivers high quality respite care using three integrated models: a day service centre for people with multiple and complex needs; six small businesses offering supported work opportunities and skills development; and a supported job placement and coaching service in local businesses. The service supports people to develop their potential and promote independence, choice and control in keeping with the aspirations of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act. The service provides meaningful activities for people with complex support needs, with opportunities for people to access training and development, to build social and vocational skills and to increase independence. The Council would like to invite Providers with experience in the delivery of quality LD support services to further discuss these plans. Partners for this project will demonstrate a clear vision for the transformation of services, with a focus on individual outcomes using person centred plans and progression models. Partners would share the vision to maintain social care values, increase integration and interaction between services and local communities by utilising commercial partnerships, social commitments and volunteer participatory agreements. This is an exciting opportunity for a provider with expertise and a proven track record in providing similar services, to take ownership and transform a well-established and valued service, with skilled and experienced staff. The commissioned provider will continue to deliver high quality support and development for people, offering value for money and delivering outcomes to meet the needs of the local population.
