Tender description
This tender process forms an important part of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council's (the Authority) forward looking strategy to achieve by 2020 the 50 % household waste recycling target outlined in Article 11(1)(a) of the revised Waste Framework Directive. Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council (the Authority) has a statutory duty under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 No 2778 (N.I. 19) (Order) (Part II Articles 20 (1)(a)(b) and 20(2)) to arrange for the collection of household, commercial and industrial waste. The Authority is also required under that Order (Part II, Article 25(1)(a)) to make arrangements for the disposal of any waste collected or removed under Article 20.
