Tender description

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council (the Authority) has a statutory duty under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 No 2778 (N.I. 19) (Order) (Part II Articles 20(1)(a)(b)and 20(2)) to arrange for the collection of household, commercial and industrial waste. The Authority is also required under that Order (Part II, Article 25(1)(a)) to make arrangements for the disposal of any waste collected or removed under Article 20. Pursuant to Article 25(2)(B) of the above Order, the Authority is seeking to award a Contract for the receipt, treatment, recovery, recycling and disposal by the contractor of local authority collected municipal waste. This waste shall comprise of fractions from domestic and commercial collections, recycling centres and street cleansing (excluding gully waste).
