Tender description
A Framework is required for protective leather suits with motorcycle-specific body armour and protective gloves. The Framework is split into four (4) Lots. — Lot 1 Protective Suits a 2-piece made to measure suit, supplementary care kit, fitting service and a repair service; — Lot 2 Protective Winter Gloves; — Lot 3 Protective Summer Gloves; — Lot 4 Protective All-Season Gloves. The Framework will be established as a direct call-off arrangement and made available to twenty-four (24) Police Forces across England and Wales, as named in the Invitation to Tender documents. For the Goods (in the form of a 2-piece made to measure suit and the supplementary care kit) and complementary services (inclusive but not limited to a fitting service and a repair service). Protective Suits 2-piece, made to measure, race quality, to conform to the ‘High Performance’ classification of the Cambridge Standard. Tenderers must be able to provide evidence of conformity to the required standards. Physical Goods will be required as part of this procurement process to evidence compliance to the specification. The provision of motorcycle gloves which are suitable for wearing in winter conditions, offering the wearer protection from both the elements and injury. Gloves must be of solid construction capable of with-standing pressures associated with motorcycle riding. Conformance to Standards: Gloves claimed by the manufacturer to be Protective, must be tested according to the following relevant Standards and bear CE marking. — BS EN 13594: 2015. Protective gloves for professional motorcycle riders (Requirements and test methods) or BS EN 13594: 2012. Protective gloves for professional motorcycle riders (Requirements and test methods). Tenderers must be able to provide evidence of conformity to the required standards. Physical Goods will be required as part of this procurement process to evidence compliance to the specification. For the provision of summer motorcycle gloves which Gloves must be CE marked and compliant to BS EN 13594: 2015 or BS EN 13594: 2012.
