Tender description

Provision of specialist armature and associated items for large dinosaur skeleton (cast). The Natural History Museum is looking to tour one of its large specimens around the UK. In order to facilitate this, we require the construction of a specialist modular armature and associated items to support the specimen on tour, along with storage items and other sundries. Tenderers will need to provide at least three case studies describing the successful completion of a similar type of project, involving working with large specimens as well as heritage locations and facilitating a touring schedule. The final contract will incorporate a fee for the design and manufacture of an armature, plinth, barrier and other items to support a touring exhibition around the UK of a large dinosaur cast specimen. This will also include the de-install/removal of the existing armature as well as associated packaging and crates for storage.
