M1516-29 Electrical Testing & Inspections

Tender description

This Contract covers the inspection and testing of all electrical installations, belonging to Southend Borough Council that are managed by South Essex Homes. (South Essex Homes is an Arms Length Management Organisation owned by Southend Borough Council) The electrical testing shall be carried out in accordance with IEE Wiring Regulations Seventeenth Edition BS 7671:2008 Requirements for Electrical Installations including amendments 1, 2 and 3 plus any amendments or Editions that may be added between April 1st 2016 & March 31st 2021. IEE Guidance Note 3, Inspection & Testing shall be used for verification of testing procedures. This Contract does not cover works to private or leasehold properties and payment shall only be made for works to Council buildings under the control of South Essex Homes. In addition to testing and inspecting the Contractor shall record all results and also carry out any minor repairs as per the Schedule for Variations.
