Tender description

NHS Harrow Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is seeking to establish a Walk-in Centre in the east of the borough, based at Belmont Centre. This will be part of a network of GP access walk-in centres across the borough, open from Monday to Sunday, to provide additional primary care capacity and improve the quality and responsiveness of services for patients. NHS Harrow Clinical Commissioning Group (the ‘Contracting Authority’) is offering a contract (or contracts) to the successful Bidder(s) to provide a GP Access Walk-in Centre Service in East Harrow based at the Belmont Health Centre. The Contracting Authority is seeking to improve and extend the current network of walk-in centres, going beyond simply providing the services as they are currently configured and specified. Currently, there are 2 Walk-in Centres (at Alexandra Avenue and the Pinn Medical Centre) and this procurement will result in a 3rd being established in the east of the borough. Specifically, the walk-in centre is seen as being fundamental to a truly integrated urgent care model, which will both improve urgent care access and integrate urgent care services into the wider set of primary care whole patient management. It is anticipated that such a model will enhance communications, coordination and reduce duplication between services. Submissions by 23.6.2016.
