Tender description

The Camden Healthy Minds Service is aimed at people with mental health needs to prevent mental ill health developing, and to support people as early as possible to prevent progression. The Healthy Minds Service will also work with people with established mental health problems to build resilience and support recovery. Social prescribing is about supporting patients to access non-medical sources of support in the community with the aim of addressing wider social needs and developing alternative responses to mental distress. The maximum budget allocated to this service is 75 000 GBP per annum. This element will work with a minimum of 300 people per year and will tailor support based on people's needs. To develop a range of low and no cost activities that promote well-being and support people to get involved in the community and do things they enjoy doing. The proposed value of this service is 150 000 GBP per annum. This strand will support over 400 people a year to take part in directly provided activities and 200 to take part in sustained activities with universal services. To develop a rage of peer support and volunteering opportunities that build on people's skills and interests to help them to build resilience and develop support networks in the community. The proposed value of this service is 105 000 GBP per annum. This strand will support at least 150 people a year into sustained volunteering and giving and 100 people with mental health needs will benefit from peer support and volunteering.
