Tender description
This project will provide a cost effective and viable alternative to residential care for service users with Mental Health problems or Learning Disabilities. The project consists of 11 self contained studio flats in Totton, New Forest, Hampshire. This is a refurbished scheme due to open on 18.4.2016. There are also extensive communal areas within the building which be provided for the use of support staff and tenants. The housing management will be undertaken by Sovereign Housing Association. An STA approach, due to this being a pilot program, with the contract period on 2 years (with no option to extend) will give Hampshire County Council Adult Services the opportunity to identify service users, develop service specification and business model and determine the best way to procure the service.
