‘The Framework Agreement is for the distribution of the fruit and vegetables during school term time. Distributors will use nominated Suppliers to ensure delivery of fruit and/or vegetables to schools. The distribution will be carried out in 21 different regions covering the whole of England. Distributors will be required to deliver fruit and vegetables in accordance with the “Consumption Calendar” and to deliver such fruit and vegetables to the relevant schools for consumption during term time in each case in accordance with the terms of the Framework Agreement (including the Specification). The term of this Framework Agreement is 4 years but it may be terminated early. Applicants should therefore note the provisions set out in the Framework Agreement permitting early termination of the Framework Agreement. In particular NHS Supply Chain reserves the right to terminate the Framework Agreement if the funding for the School Fruit and Vegetables is withdrawn or if the terms of that funding change’.
