Carers Breaks Grant

Cheshire East Council together with health partners NHS Eastern Cheshire and NHS South Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Groups are committed to improving the health and wellbeing and enhancing the overall quality of life of carers of people who reside in Cheshire East. There is no restriction on the age of the carer. The Carers Breaks Fund will enable organisations to apply to deliver services or activities to meet the needs of young carers, parent carers and carers of adults living in Cheshire East. We particularly encourage services or activities designed to identify and support people who do not self identify as carers; they are often family members in a caring role who do not see themselves as a carer and may not, therefore, access services that are available to them. This includes carers who have never accessed statutory or voluntary support, as well as carers who are new to their caring role. Keywords: Advice & Support, Social Care, Carers Breaks
