Tender description

The Council is currently considering its options for the re-procurement for the operation of its Leisure facilities which include a golf course, leisure centre ( Farnborough), ski slope and Aldershot indoor pools and Lido. The contracts are due for renewal in 2019 and it is expected that the tender process or processes will start in 2017/2018 depending on chosen route (s). However, the Council would like to engage with the market this summer during the Lido's current operational period to discuss some proposals regarding Aldershot Pools and Lido. The Council proposes to hold a Soft Market testing day on 21 July 2016 which will outline the current situation, give some visions for the future and a tour of the facility. Attendees will be invited back for individual discussions regarding the Council's proposed outline vision for the facility; however organisations should note that discussions will not be on a confidential basis. The information and feedback will then help inform the Council on the nature and scope of the procurement route for the potential redesign and build of the operation of the Aldershot Pools and Lido. This is a notice to enable the Council to engage with the market and does not signify the start of the Council's procurement process for any part of its leisure facilities. Attendance is not necessary to be considered in any future procurement of the Aldershot pools and lido, or another part of the Council's leisure facilities. Please note the session on 21.7.2016 will only relate to the potential development and operation of Aldershot indoor pools and Lido.
