Tender description

The Trust wishes to award a services concession contract to an operator who will: (1) Design, build, finance, operate and maintain a new entrance at Hull Royal Infirmary to include units for catering and retail; and (2) Provide and operate catering facilities (patient meals are excluded) for staff and visitors and retail facilities at the Trust's 2 sites at Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital. Please note that the Trust have issued a parallel OJEU notice for a services concession (without works): Please note that the Trust will only award 1 contract and tenderers should note that the Trust will therefore cancel 1 or both procurement processes with no liability for any tenderers' costs. The Trust is of the view that the Acquired Rights Directive, implemented in England by the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (as amended), is likely to apply to this contract. Further details will be set out in the tender documents. The estimated current value of turnover in relation to the services is 3 000 000 GBP but the Trust has an aspiration to increase this. The estimated capital value of the design and build is 2 900 000 GBP.
