Family Focus Health Trainer

Tender description

Family Focus is the offer from Cheshire East Council in respect of the national Troubled Families programme. Since the launch of the programme in April 2012, the Government launched the Troubled Families Programme: a £448 million scheme to incentivise local authorities and their partners to turn around the lives of 120,000 troubled families by May 2015. The first programme worked with families where children were not attending school, young people were committing crime, families were involved in anti-social behaviour and adults were out of work. The national roll out of this programme began in April 2015 and Cheshire East Council is a part of the national roll out and has signed up to: • achieve either significant and sustained progress or to achieve continuous employment with 1950 families during the life of the programme, • support the national evaluation by providing: o a small amount of personal information for every individual assessed for the programme in order to support the National Impact Study, o the agreed family Progress Data every six months for all individuals in families who are being supported by the programme, o information relating to the costs of delivering targeted whole family services in each area for use in the cost savings calculator. It is anticipated that this programme will run until 2020 and that the contract awarded will be reviewed at the end of Year 1.
