Tender description

The University is seeking to procure an industrial/research capable Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM) Powder Bed Laser Melting Machine (the ‘Machine’) in order to facilitate the manufacture of metal parts and tooling from a variety materials. In addition to compliance with the Specification it is critical that the proposals offer additional added value in terms of forming a collaborative working partnership between the supplier and the University. The Machine must be appropriate for a high volume multi-user manufacturing environment, be able to support bespoke engineering research commercial part and tool production and to be used within a teaching environment.
