WHC-Hatfield Ground Investigation Surveys

Tender description

To support redevelopment projects in Hatfield , Welwyn Hatfield Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council), requires a suitably experienced Contractor to undertake the following surveys (which will be included in subsequent tender documents). • Ground investigation surveys. Carry out a Phase I Desk Study Environmental Report to include a preliminary risk assessment. It is expected the scope of the report will include but not limited to site inspections, historical and recent mapping searches and a conceptual model listing possible sources and areas of contamination. The information obtained will provide future engineers and designers with the information they need to design the loadings/layout. The Council will also require a price to carry out a Phase II Intrusive investigation into any potential contamination sources/ issues are identified and provide a strategy for any remediation works required. A geotechnical examination to include surface and subsurface exploration, soil sampling, blow counts and if necessary laboratory analysis.
