Buyer: Blackburn with Darwen Council Title: Voluntary Community and Faith Sector Consortium Based Commissioning: Phase 2 Summary: This is the second phase in the consortium based commissioning approach to integrate a range of voluntary, community and faith sector services across Blackburn with Darwen CCG and the Local Authority. There are a total of 10 contracts in the scope of the procurement exercise which are divided into three lots. The Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced providers to act as a single point of contract for one or more of the following lots, adopting a consortium approach: • Lot 1 – Integrated Carers Services • Lot 2 – Enabling empowerment and building resilience • Lot 3 – Information, advice and support to prevent social isolation of older people A briefing event will take place on Friday 22nd January 2016, 10.00am – 12.00pm at the Hornby Lecture Theatre, Blackburn Library. At this session, tenderers will be able to meet with the commissioners to discuss the services being awarded, the approach to the requirements and to clarify any queries. Tenderers should register attendance, including the names and job titles of those who will be attending, with the contact officer two working days prior to the event.
