Proposed Oil Tanks and Associated Works - Lower House Lane Depot, Widnes

Tender description

Provision of a new 42,500 litre tri-compartment above ground fuel tank to comprise; ? 1No. 30,000L road diesel section, ? 1no. 10,000L gas oil section, ? 1no. 2,500L AdBlue section. New tank to be fully bunded to 110% of capacity with a 5% brim full ullage. The road diesel & gas oil parts of the tank are to be manufactured to BS799 Part 5 with 6mm thick steel. The AdBlue part of the tank would be manufactured to BS799 Part 5 with 3mm thick 304 stainless steel. The whole system is to be manufactured to OFTEC standard OFS T200 & BS799 Part 5, incorporating pollution prevention guidelines PPG2. Undertake decommissioning works to all 3no. existing tanks as follows; vacuum tanker to bottom out tank and drain down all existing fuel lines ensuring there is no fuel left in the tanks or pipes, disconnect all existing fuel and vent lines attached to the 3No. underground tanks and cap off. Infill all 3No. underground tanks using BritFoam UF polymer resin based hard foam (or equal and approved). Please see Appendix 1 for further details on the works/requirements.
