Tender description

Recognising changes in response to the Family Justice Review (2013), Surrey is looking to improve procedures to ensure that pre-proceedings are as smooth and supportive as possible for the child or young person and to support full care proceedings to be completed within 26-weeks. To support this process, Surrey needs the ability to spot purchase from a framework agreement of suitable providers where independent expertise is needed. Recognising the transactional nature of forensic testing services, a new framework has been developed. This forensic testing framework will be divided into lots to enable the service to buy the best testing service to meet the needs of our families: Lot 1 — DNA testing for paternity (including sampling and collection where appropriate); Lot 2 — Drug and alcohol testing (including sampling and collection where appropriate). Framework Agreement: Duration 4 years. Call-off contract 2 years initial period with the option to extend by a further 1 + 1 years.
