Tender description

The Trust currently has a large membership which is categorized into 3 constituencies public, staff and patient. Membership of the public constituency is currently circa 64,000, there are circa 9,000 staff members and a more recently introduced rest of England constituency is being developed. The Trust has a large Council of governors with 55 elected members made up of 36 public governors in 8 constituencies, 1 patient governor and currently 18 staff governors in 9 constituencies. Elections to the Governors Body are held annually and the outcome of each election process needs to be completed no later than mid June to ensure compliance with the Trust Constitution, Trust policies and the guidance set out in the regulator Monitor’s Code of Governance.
