Tender description

Kent County Council (the council) is the largest county council in England covering an area of 3 500 square kilometres. It has an annual expenditure of over 900 000 000 GBP on goods and services and a population of 1 300 000. The Council provides a wide range of personal and strategic services on behalf of its residents, operating in partnership with 12 district councils seven clinical commissioning groups and 289 parish/town councils. The Council has a statutory responsibility for Public Health and procures a number of services, which aim to improve the health of the population and reduce health inequalities across the county. The Opportunity: Kent County Council (KCC) will be inviting tenders for a contract of up to 3 years, to provide an audit and update of user views for each of the Kent Joint Strategic Needs Assessment Chapters. This will be conducted as a mini-competition through the Public Health Dynamic Purchasing System. The contract will run from March 2016 for an initial period of 12 months with the potential to carry on for a period of 3 years in total. The maximum contract value will be 30 000 GBP (10 000 GBP per annum). The contractor will be required to: — To understand the current level of user views available for the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment Chapters; — To incorporate user views into all chapters of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment; — To give the opportunity for user views to shape and improve service delivery; — To influence and improve the development of user views for the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment chapters in the future. Should you wish to tender for this opportunity, you must apply to be part of the Public Health Services DPS, applications to be included in this tender opportunity must be submitted to the DPS no later than midnight 28.1.2016. When expressing an interest in the opportunity, you will then be emailed an invitation to submit a Questionnaire to be added to the DPS. If you have already been successfully admitted to the Public Health Services DPS, you will automatically be sent a copy of the tender documentation when published after the 28.1.2016.
