Tender description

The Contracting Authority is looking to appoint a single Economic Operator (Contractor) for the provision of Grounds Maintenance Services across the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI)Estate utilising an NEC3 Term Service Contract. The Economic Operator will be responsible for the provision of the following: The scope of the works for Grounds Maintenance for the PSNI Estate will encompass, but is not be limited to; maintenance of grassed areas/young trees and planted trees, hedge trimming, maintenance to road and pathway gratings, leaf clearance, site cleaning and moss clearance, hedge cutting and weed control, maintaining perimeters for approximately 150 sites. The service shall be made available 24 hours per day and 365 days per year (including all weekends and holiday periods). The Contract will be for an initial three year period with the possibility of 2 x one year extensions that will be at the Client's discretion. This requirement will be notified to the contractor prior to the expiry date of the 3-year fixed duration. The option to extend the Contract period by each additional year beyond the first extension will be notified to the Contractor prior to the expiry of the optional extension period.
