Leicestershire County Council has a need to procure eight trailers to transport mowing machines and associated equipment, in time for the start of the 2016 highways grass cutting session. The trailers will be outright purchased and towed behind our fleet of 4x4 pick-ups. Mowing machinery to be carried has a total weight of 1160KGs, is 3350mm long and is 1600mm at its widest point (flail head attachment) • Tilt bed trailer • Minimum trailer bed width of 1840mm • Minimum trailer bed length of 3620mm • Minimum trailer GVM of 2500KGs • Full width loading ramp incorporating prop stands • Drop sides of approx. 10” high • Removable ladder rack • 4 pairs internal, recessed lashing rings • 4 pairs external lashing hooks • Lockable towing head • Spare wheel • 13 pin electrics c/w 7 pin adapter • Non slip floor covering • Extended height rear corner stays to match the height of the loading ramp. • Extended height centre stays to match the height of the rear stays and ladder rack. • Operative safety rail, the full length of the trailer attached to the extended stays. • Option, of mesh sides (Non-mandatory priced option) • Option, of Chapter 8 LED strobe lights built into rear corner stays (Non-mandatory priced option).
