EC0708 PQQ Design Team Holland House — Award Notice. This contract award notice is for the following scope of work: A Design Team who will work on behalf of the University with regards to redesigning and updating 1 of our student accommodation facilities i.e. Holland House. Holland House. Holland House is a 352 bed under graduate catered student residence constructed in 1965 and forms part of the wider Pollock Halls Estate. It is 1 of 3 properties in the estate with en-suite rooms. The current building envelope and services are consistent with the age of the property and it has been established that significant improvements are required to ensure that Accommodation Services standards are met and expectations of students and commercial visitors are delivered. Works envisaged include upgrading of insulation levels of the external envelope and roof and increasing the level of air tightness. Comprehensive renewal of all building services including drainage system and the full refurbishment of bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms incorporating improved sound insulation between separating floors. Improvements to pantry facilities is also envisaged. It is intended that this work is carried out in a live environment resulting in the works being delivered in a phased manner on a floor by floor basis over a 3 to 4-year period.
