Cesspool or septic tank emptying services

Tender description

1. The services requirement is as follows: a) Desludging of septic tanks, domestic treatment plants and cesspools. b) Transportation of collected sludge to a designated waste-water treatment works ‘Reception Centre’ located across the province. These Reception Centres will be either NI Water run or Public Private Partnership ‘PPP’ run sites. c) Discharging collected sludge at Reception Centres through NI Water's sludge logging system ‘SLS’. d) Any other septic tank desludging/emptying related services. 2. This service to domestic customers is currently subsidised by Department of Regional Development ‘DRD’ with the subsidy claimed and paid at the rates in the scheme of charges. This subsidy is claimed according to the actual number of requests completed. The service is available on request and is provided free of charge to domestic customers once every 12 months. If the service is requested by a commercial customer or if requested more frequently than once every 12 months by a domestic customer, then the appropriate fee in the scheme of charges is levied.
