Alternative Provider of Medical Services (APMS) Caretaker Contract for Kirkley Mill and Westwood Surgeries, Lowestoft, Suffolk

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (NHS Arden & GEMCSU) on behalf of NHS England West & North Midlands (referred to as the Commissioner) are inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to bid via an open tender process the provision for Primary Medical GP Services for the following two Surgeries: • LOT 1: - Kirkley Mill Surgery located at Clifton Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk. • LOT 2: - Westwood Surgery located at 45-47 Westwood Avenue, Lowestoft, Suffolk. These two new contracts are required under ‘Caretaker’ arrangement through an APMS contract for a year and are scheduled to commence from the 1st April 2016. Bidders can bid for one or both of the above Lots within this procurement tendering opportunity. The key objective of this procurement is to commission an able provider/s through the most current NHS England Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract. These services must be provided by GPs and nurses and the Provider/s will be expected to: • deliver primary care services which will be safe, accessible, convenient and responsive • design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment • have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction • have processes in place to engage effectively with the local communities • participate in Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) • provide a range of Enhanced Services, remunerated in line with the relevant directions and specified by the commissioner on an annual basis.
