Summary of the work A minimum of 2 x WebOps Enginners required to work on the Universal Credit Digital Service Centre Project based in Leeds. Specialist role Web operations engineer Expected Contract Length 9 months with an option to extend month on month at the Authority's sole discretion. Latest start date 6 June 2016 Who Speclialist Work With The Web Ops Engineers will work alongside the Project's COTS suppliers' personnel and Cloud Hosting provider's personnel in the successful build and maintenance on a LINUX & Windows-based productions and test environment. The Web Ops Engineers are required to replace temporary resources currently building and supporting production and test platform for the deployment of a COTs product, to deliver business change. What Specialists Work On The Web Ops Engineers will work alongside the Project's COTS suppliers' personnel and Cloud Hosting provider's personnel in the successful build and maintenance on a LINUX & Windows-based productions and test environment. Skills & Experience • The WebOps Engineers need to be multidisciplinary experts who have a deep understanding of networks, routing and switching. • Plus firewalls, load-balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, TCP & UDP services, NOC management, hardware specifications, • Plus Windows, several web server technologies, caching technologies, several databases, storage infrastructure, cryptography, algorithms, trending and capacity planning. Nice to Haves • Has worked with DWP before • Demonstrable ability to work with COTS suppliers’ personnel in the deployment of a COTS application. • Demonstrable ability to work with Cloud Hosting personnel where the platform is hosted, using dedicated kit with RAS access. Work Location Leeds City Office Park, Meadow Lane Leeds LS11 5BD Working Arrangments Work will be on-site in Leeds One, working to UK working days pattern (Mon- Friday). Leeds One will be the home office. Expenses will only be considered for travel and subsistence outside of the Leeds area. What is the process for interview if you could let us know the breakdown? e.g. 1st Telephone Interview, 2nd Face-to-Face and then offer The requirement states that this procurement will be evaluated on 'Work History'. A this stage we anticipate that we will only evaluate on a written response e.g. CV and covering letter. However we do reserve the right to hold telephone or face-to-face interviews should the need exist once we have evaluated the written responses. 2. Whether this is the deadline for the initial application or for the entire tendering process to be completed. The 23rd deadline is for you to complete the sections in the portal to allow us to shortlist (against the 'essential criteria' and 'nice to haves'). Once shortlisted we will come out to those shortlisted suppliers and ask for CV's. Please note that we will ask for a short turnaround on CVs so it would be good to start the process of collecting these now if you meet all of our criteria. 4. At the time of application, we are not able to send CVs as there is no option to submit CV in response. We can only select yes/no in application. We have more than one potential candidate for the role, but the skills and experience varies and so does the rate of the candidate. It isn't possible with the form as it is currently designed I went back to CCS for a response on this as the portal is new to DWP also.
