Tender description

Slough Borough Council is seeking a partner to operate its leisure facilities which are soon to be subject to 35 000 000 GBP of investment. The Council's ambition for leisure provision is for a sustainable network of leisure facilities and outreach activities available to all residents, contributing to local health and well-being in the Borough. At the same time the Council is seeking to reduce its leisure subsidy and liabilities from 1.6.2017. The Council wishes to seek an external provider with the new contract starting on 1.6.2017. The expectation is for a minimum 10 year contract, with extension options, on a leasehold basis. The current contract has a turnover of circa 6 500 000 GBP per annum. The ambition is for the new leisure management contract to make a significant contribution to achieving the objectives of the Council's new leisure strategy. The Council is holding a Bidders' Day on Monday, 23.5.2016, starting at 9:30 where the potential bidders will be given further details on the procurement and the facilities, including a tour.
