To investigate the potential of birds as working animals and to identify any limitations. The aim of this contract is to investigate the potential of birds as working animals and to identify limitations. In the 1st instance the contractor will be required to showcase the birds capabilities. It is envisaged that the contractor may provide fully trained birds, and/or handler training at a later date depending on the outcomes of the initial work package(s) and available funding. The Authority requires 1 or more companies to train either 1 or 2 corvids (same or different species) for each task that will be outlined. All behaviours must ultimately be displayed outside whilst free flying, unenclosed, in the presence of people unknown to the birds. All training and testing of the behaviours is to be conducted at the contractor's premises.
