The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a partner organisation with which to create a Radio-pharmacy Joint Venture. The Trust is seeking a single specialist partner solution with demonstrable capability and experience in operating within the radio-pharmacy market who can augment and complement the radio-pharmacy expertise at the Christie and who is committed to investing in, and successfully jointly developing an enhanced radio-pharmacy service partnership. Should the opportunity be advertised organisations will have to demonstrate an ability to: — Supply 99Mo-99Tcm generators reliably to The Christie site; — Develop a cyclotron based 99Tcm manufacturing unit within 2 hours road travel time from The Christie site; — Supply non-99Tcm radio-pharmaceuticals to The Christie site; — Supply 18FDG reliably to The Christie PET/CT service; and — Work with The Christie to develop clinical / research PET radio-pharmaceuticals. The intended outcome of the Radio-pharmacy procurement is to select a partner organisation for the Christie that best satisfies our requirements. The purpose: To define and implement a radio-pharmacy service that meets the current and future needs of the Christie: 1. Participate in defining the future radio-pharmacy needs of The Christie; 2. Participate in determining how these future needs can best be met i.e. defining an appropriate model of service delivery that ensures high-quality radio-pharmacy services which maintain and improve patient safety and achieve efficiencies in the cost of service delivery; and 3. Participating in implementing any new model of service delivery. Individual, informal discussions will be held with interested parties thereafter. It should be noted that this engagement exercise in no way guarantees that a procurement exercise will be run at a later date. At this stage the purpose is to gather information and any organisations that participate do so at their own risk.
